I totally can recommend this place. Chef Joshua was so nice. We prepared several courses of Peruvian food. The favorite one was Ceviche. We had lots of things to talk about, despite food. We had a lot of fun! Joshua can speak very good English (besides Spanish). One of the best events ever!

Great experience with going to the market and selecting the food to be used during the cooking session. I learned quite a bit about the different fruits and vegetables that are grown in Peru. The chef even stopped by a stand that had holistic remedies. This was a great surprise. The chef was patient during the demonstration, as I am not a pro in the kitchen. I enjoyed the dishes and drinks that we made during our time together. I highly recommend this experience.

Highly recommend experience to learn more about Peruvian food and how to actually prepare it. I would recommend to take the class early on in your trip as it is a great foundation! Hector is an amazing chef with a lot of experience (including award winnkng restaurants in Lima). He takes you on a market tour where you buy the fresh ingredients for your class later on.

Before boarding our flight, we spontaneously decided to book Hector's Foodie tour for the first day of our Peruvian trip. Best.Decision.Ever! We learnt so much about the incredible biodiversity in Peru, how to prepare some of the most traditional local food and cocktails, and not least, we had so much fun and great conversations with Hector! Id you are on the fence to booking this class.. DO IT! You really won't regret.

Pros: Delicious and high quality food Interesting market tour with Chef Jhon Fun and casual atmosphere. The chef, Hector, was obviously very skilled and had great techique for the food prep. Cons: Left the class not learning anything more about more about Peruvian food than the recipes themselves. In the middle of class Hector actually stopped class to bid on an EBay auction. Feels expensive at 85 USD per person (which includes the fees for electronic payment) Felt rushed to finish the dinner. According to their website afternoon classes are supposed to go from 3-8 PM, but in reality we finished by 6:30. Hector didn't share the meal with us for more than a few minutes and there was little sense that we were welcome to hang out for much longer once we finished eating.

Highly recommend this cooking class! The food market was very informative, we learned a lot about many different types of fruits, vegetables, seafood and fishes. We learned how to prepare the dishes from fresh high quality ingredients under supervision of the chef Hector (make sure to book the class with him for the best experience!). We even made homemade mayonnaise! The atmosphere was very informal so we had a lot of fun during the class. Definitely worth the money!

A fantastic experience. Hector is an excellent host, and makes you feel very comfortable and welcome. Cannot recommend the experience enough, I have no doubt it will be a highlight amongst many memories of our time in Peru.
