This is definitely the place to stay during your Amazonas Region visit! High quality Bungalows with lots of privacy and spectacular View to the Waterfall and its surroundings. The owners are there for all information and organization needed! Best choice also for independant travellers on own vehicles that look for a restingplace where they can prepare for their further trip! Thanks, we will come back soon!
Here in the mountain tops hidden away from tour busses and ticket booths is a community of young, hip, progressive, entrepreneurial hoteliers that give back to their communities. In the tiny town of Cocachimba, Carmen and Francesco have spent four years building Mamaq Tambo Lodge. They have created an experience that brings you as close to heaven as humanly possible. Their sustainable mud-brick cottages surrounded by extensive permaculture plots overlook a vista of cascades that descend from a towering escarpment. The food is divine and the accommodation is five star.
What a beautiful place! The owners are extremely friendly and helped us with everything we needed. Google Maps isn‘t really precise up there and therefore the place can be hard to find, so here’s a map from my memory on how to get there:

Lindo lugar rodeado de naturaleza y las cabañas son muy modernas y con vas cómodas. Lo único que la comida no es tan rica (excepto por el desayuno). Las dueñas son amables.
Excelente lugar en contacto con la naturaleza, se disfruta de una vista espectacular. La atención de lo mejor.
