Went here for dinner and it’s a lovely old world type Restaurant upstairs. The styling is rustic and nice tables out on the balcony too. The staff were delightful and so happy and eager to help, particularly when I was difficult about my order. They adapted to please. The steak was top notch. It’s fairly pricy (western prices).

The food was inventive and delicious, with Peruvian flavors added to classic dishes. Servers take the time to explain the ingredients, and what part of Peru the items came from. Plenty of care is given to details that make for an exceptional local dining experience. Chef Cler should be an international food star!
Wonderful ambience. Great service. Fantastic food. Not expensive but expect to pay a little more for quality in cuisine and attention to detail. Good wine list. Excellent selection across the menu. I will be returning on my next visit to Trujillo.
I guess the ice cream could be better in texture and sweetness, but it was really good. The grilled banana was too sweet, would be better maybe with a sweet bread or an ice cream ball or something to reduce the sweetness. I'll be back for the framboise cake, they told me is really good.
I cannot reccomend this place enough, if you come to Trujillo you should make time for this restaurant. Incredible ambience and the service is some of the best I have received in Peru. Everything we ordered was delicious. Do get appetizers and save room for dessert. Highlights of the menu were the asparagus appetizers.

This was one of the BEST meals I have ever had (chicken in a spicy salsa) in one of the most intriguing restaurants I have ever been in. I sat on the veranda, and as Lonely Planet says, the traffic is a little loud in rush hour. But if there are two of you, you can still easily hold a conversation. I was on my own, and it was fascinating to watch Peruvian street life (in particular, families going home, street vendors, and traffic jams made up of empty taxis). Although it has charm under the evening streetlights, Trujillo is not the prettiest of cities. Nevertheless, this restaurant made my visit. (And the wait-staff are real sweethearts.)
Totally excellent. Beef prepared perfectly Chef is really really good.
