We are the Maiden Venture Capital fund of Salkantay Partners. In 2017 we joined the Capital Emprendedor Program of Startup Peru: an initiative from the Peruvian government to develop the local VC Ecosystem and connect it to the world. SXF will capitalize on regional trends to fill the gap in the scale-up phase of emerging Latin American startups, helping them create value as they expand across markets and grow their footprint and investor base. We will invest in exceptional companies in Peru and the Pacific Alliance that have regional potential and a global mindset. From our base in Lima, we will leverage our assets and the collective strengths of our network of regional allies to connect advanced regional hubs with fast growing ecosystems, like Peru and Colombia. We will tap our experienced local team, unique sourcing capabilities and global partnerships to help entrepreneurs go regional. SXF is currently raising capital with a $50M target and a first closing in the 1Q of 2019 with an investment strategy split 50/50 in Peru and the region in segments, stages and risk profiles poised to thrive in emerging markets.
