I didn't have a good experience here unfortunately. Most of the place was reserved for a birthday party, which the guy in the reception didn't think of telling me. The only accessible part was therefore a small and not very well maintained boulder cave, with four or five routes in suitable grade. Not worth paying 40 soles for. On the upside, the top tope wall looked better. Might consider going here to top rope sometime, but make sure there are no birthday parties. They do have a schedule with those visible from the reception if you look closely.

As a Canadian tourist, Pirqa exceeded my expectations on all levels. Would suggest newcomers ask to be shown around the facilities for a few minutes by someone who speaks English. (This would be something that is not normally done here). If you book an appointment, you can get excellent instruction on the walls from the rank beginner level to expert climber . . . or you can just walk in and start climbing like you would at any N. American facility.
My favorite place in Lima! The staff is very welcoming and knowledgeable. I'm a beginner and my friend is an intermediate climber and we both benefitted greatly from the classes.
Pirqa is a pretty small climbing place, but its walls are pretty tall and extend the 2nd floor open patio, which gives you views of the street and surrounding neighborhood (both good and bad) while you're climbing. No AC but the entire place is out in the open, which is fine most of year-round except specific hours where the sun directly hits a couple of the walls. The bouldering section is short and compact but it has a lot of holds for you to create your own routes and train- but this place is mostly meant for rope climbing. Staff is really nice and they are flexible with needs. The patio restaurant/cafe is surprisingly popular since they get a decent amount of people that just go to eat (and not climb).
Me encantó me duelen mis deditos jajaja
