Completed my PADI open water with Chelonia. The experience was awesome! The instructors are very knowledgeable and did a great job of answering questions in English and Spanish. You could argue the waters off the coast of Peru are a bit treacherous for new divers (compared to the waters in the Caribbean for example). However, the staff at Chelonia are incredibly professional, know the waters well, and are thus able to make it a great experience. For example, I watched an instructor tow a new diver against a moderate current to get back to the boat (and by moderate I mean difficult for a strong swimmer to swim against even without towing someone).

We did the Open Water Diver Course with Chelonia without having any prior experience with diving. Our instructor, Diego, managed to make us feel safe and relaxed from the beginning making all the dives we made an amazing and formative experience. All the group is super friendly and helpful in every situation. We dived at the platform, in front of the beaches of Los Organos and close to the harbor. All of these are wonderful places with an incredible biodiversity. We would recommend everybody to dive with them! Great experience! We had two amazing dives with Diego and Franco, two young and passionate professionals. We had a lot of fun, I definitely recommend this place!

Great dive center dedicated to working with the local community. Went on five dives with them, and their professionalism from setting up the dives to going out on the water was great. They know beautiful sites to visit that highlight what northern Peru has to offer divers.
Chelonia Dive Center is the perfect place if you don't have any experience. I am very glad that I took the open dive course with Chelonia DC. From the beginning I had a safe and comfortable feeling because of their peaceful attitude and qualified equipment. That was really important to get confidence under water. With 3 young passionate scuba instructors: Rodrigo, Cristian and Diego, is Chelonia Dive Center, a professional company who have lots of knowledge about the theory, equipment and sealife. They know the pacific ocean in this specific area of Peru like no one else. They also work together with the local fishermen. Another plus is that my instructor spoke fluent English, language isn't a border in this case. Chelonia Dive Center shared their passion for dive with me, that I want to do it over again. Thanks chicos for the beautiful memories!
