Nasca Hair , Peru Hair, attached to her own skull, measures 2800 mm (2.80m.) In length, possibly belonged to a priestess of approximately 50 years and whose age is 2200 years (200 BC). The hair is made up of two bows wrapped in fine ropes made of the same hair, they are in a circular way around each portion of hair, it is a very delicate job. It is located in the Museum of Archeology, Anthropology and History of the UNT - Trujillo, PERU.

One of my favourite museums, good conservation and a big space. Sometimes they do activities for kids and adults. (2019)

Beautiful artifacts!! I was blown away by the variety of Incan and Andean pieces at this museum, some over 1500 years old! The ticket price was also very affordable.

Definitely worth a visit as this is the few museum in lima that has english translation for more than half of the exhibits. Overall, this museum packs more content than what it appears from the outside as it took us around two hours to go through it. Many of the exhibits room are in chronological order starting from the origin of Peru to contemporary development shortly after Independence. My only critique is that parts of an entire exhibit didn't have english translation which was frustrating. Toward the end, I did feel like I was lost in how different events / periods were interconnected. Perhaps this was due to lack of translation or it was simply not well organized.

Very interesting and packed with exhibits. If you want to truly appreciate the entire museum, I would go two days. Otherwise you probably won't be able to read everything in detail to take it all in. Great little cafe inside that makes great empanadas. Staff is kind and helpful. No flash photography.

Great assortment of various periods within Peru. You really get an excellent education from the beginning of civilization in Peru up the the modern periods. The displays are very nice and have descriptions in Spanish as well as English. Plenty of parking and inexpensive.
