Malecón de la Reserva
N/A
Park San Marcelino Champagnat, is one of the many parks along the spectacular Malecon (“boardwalk” in Spanish) of Miraflores, Lima's affluent and picturesque seaside district. It's a small park with well maintained landscaped gardens and park benches that overlook the bay of Lima. The park is named after Saint Marcellin Champagnat, the French priest who founded the Marist Brothers a religious congregation of brothers in the Roman Catholic Church devoted to Mary and dedicated to education. Champagnat saw God at the centre of life and the Virgin Mary as a sure means of attracting people to God. It is for this reason I believe that as well as the statue of Saint Marcellin Champagnat, there is a statue of the Virgin Mary in parque San Marcelino Champagnat.
