Friendly service and delicious, as usual. The only detail is that there aren’t many options of donuts, probably around 7 or 8 different options. The coffee is always tasty!
Really chill place
A must find for a "drama free" cup of "coffee with cream" and a donut or three. Peruvians are not coffee drinkers and it seems they never heard of the bottomless cup of coffee or just pouring just plain cream with your java. Here in Perú, making and serving a cup of coffee is a big deal, I guess like in Europe, and having a few cups, one after another, is unheard of. And if you order cream, they come unglued, and offer you skim milk, or whipped cream. They never heard of half and half. Well, all of that does not apply at DD. They understand how is done and will just pour you a cup with some cream and that is that. You think I am exaggerating about ordering a simple cup of coffee? I dare you to try it just anywhere, plus, in Perú we dont make a distinction between instant and brewed. I am getting so upset about this, I will need a cup of coffee just for writing this review. DD "coffee shops" are well located all around Miraflores and San Isidro. Find them ahead of time and enjoy them.
Franchise businesses don't seem to fare well in the Peruvian culture. The people have a tendency to prioritize ripping off customers/strangers/family members. It's part of the Peruvian culture to try and find ways of causing problems and then pointing out why it was the 'target' who was at fault. It seems to make them feel superior somehow, which is fairly destructive, even when systems have been established to prevent this type of situation. Systems included in franchise businesses, seem to fare similarly as a general rule here. This particular Dunkin Donuts location has on and off days, but the core issues remain. Beware of reused paper goods, days-old products, sandwiches that are warm around the edges but with ice crystals in the center, running out of stock on a regular basis, etc. The standard markers of a Peruvian business, in other words.
Very nice I like
The donuts are good, the people are friendly but the coffee is a bit acid
They refuse to cook jelly filled strawberry donuts. They got so tired of me asking for them they stopped cooking them! I guess in a way my waist size is benefiting from the managers inability to anticipate doughnut demand
