First, the nurses were good in aftercare. But, put simply, that was it. This facility lacks the technical expertise or equipment required to be offering any form of laser removal service for tattoos. Their equipment is barely good enough for hair removal. It's typical Latin American health care where you buy a machine and suddenly you're an expert. Things that were wrong when I went for tattoo removal: 1) Skin numbling cream doesn't work. This shows a complete lack of understanding of the service you're even offering much less expertise in it. Moreover, attempting to put it on such a large surface area is toxic to the skin. 2) Real antisthetic injected under the skin. Similarly, this also doesn't work and is even more toxic. I found this the most appalling. Suggesting injecting that much antisthetic before a treatment of this type is completely reckless. 3) The laser is barely good enough for hair removal much less laser removal. 4) It took me 10 minutes of being adamant to suggest using a C02 cold air machine. This is the proper way to do it. 5) Even then this was done horribly. You can't just stand lazily blowing cold air from 2 feet away. It has to be very close to the skin to not only cool / freeze it away from the pain but also reduce the inflammation. 6) They put cold rags on you. Which is great.... But if you did 5 properly you wouldn't need to. If you go through with this luckily it won't matter if the screw the C02 up because the laser is so low powered and your skin won't be that damaged.
