One of the best hostels since a few months of travelling. With 35 Soles in a dorm a bit pricier than other hostels in Huaraz but definitely worth the money. Most friendly and helpful staff, good continental breakfast included and beautiful terrace areas to relax and enjoy the great views. Comfy beds and very quiet in the mornings as the hostel is a few minutes walk from down town. We had green curry in their restaurant, which was amazing! Wifi works well most of the time. The kitchen could be a bit better equipped though. We would come back for sure!

Zarela is a lovely host and makes you feel at home the moment you walk through the door. I comfortably stayed 3 nights in a 6 bed dorm. Laundry service on point! I had the Pad Thai and red curry - both were beyond expectations!! Her produce is coming from a local organic garden. Would highly recommend staying here. Breakfast on all accounts was delicious with real French press coffee.
Zarela is an incredible host. The hostel is clean, comfortable and full of great people. Also the food is excellent.
Zarella is an excellent place to stay. I have been here several times and loved it every time. Good location, large clean rooms, it is on a quiet street. They have a nice kitchen up stairs. It also has a nice lounge. The views of huaraz from the balcony are spectacular. The staff here is very friendly and very helpful. Will stay here again!
A really great hostel. Zarela is extremely friendly and accommodating. Rooms are very big and comfortable. Everything is clean. There is a cosy, comfortable atmosphere and the Thai food served in the restaurant is really excellent. I would definitely stay again.
Zarela was always around to answer questions and to set up our climbing trips with transportation and logistics. She is a climber herself so she knows all about the Cordillera Blanca and beyond to offer advice and insight. She also always had advice on places to eat, what to see and do, and how to do it. We always had a room to come back to amidst our random days of climbing. It felt like home. She made it really easy in a foreign country to figure everything out. Would definitely recommend staying here.
Nice rooms, short walk to the center, great food and Zarela is super helpful.
I have stayed here for two nights after I came back from the 4 days/3 nights Santa Cruz Trek. I have made the booking one hour earlier and the owner showed me the double room I booked for myself (including private bathroom). The rooms were clean and the shower worked well with hot water. So far nothing outstanding, but what makes this place special is the owner. When I was about to check out, I asked what would be the best way to get from Lima to Cusco. Straight away she started her laptop and showed me that there are flights which are only slighty more expensive than the bus (1h flight, 22h bus ride). When I made the booking something did not work out, so she took her phone and told the guys from Peruvian Airlines to fix this (which they did straight away). Minutes later I left because I needed to catch my bus to Lima (I was in a hurry actually). When I was on the bus already, I was told to get off. Obviously I was wondering why, but outside the owner of this place was waiting with my second wallet (2. credit card, ID, ...). I left it on the room and didn't realise it. If the bus wouldn't have departed, I would still be standing there saying thank you. The coffee is great.
