Good for kids
Going out through this port is a very "authentic" experience. You need to be able to communicate in Spanish, and you need to not be afraid of walking wooden planks with no handrail. We enjoyed it, but it's probably not for many tourists.

I believe this is just about the only legal port on the river, and this boats have to comply with regulations (life jackets, etc). We were pleased with the service. There was an armed guard.
A kind of dirty but intersting place. Using by local people as a pier for transportation down to Amazon river
