The Ice Desert is amazing! What an adventure it is to hike to the top of these sand dunes.

I agreed 120 US for a return trip from huacachina to do the nazca lines flight. Firstly after I arrived at nazca bus terminal I had to wait over 45mins to be picked up to go to nazca airport. I rang and text them numerous times and it took 30mins for them to even respond to tell me what I'm to do. When I eventually got to the airport the airport staff and the flight were amazing and I have zero complaints about them. Then on my return to huacachina I had to pay for my own bus to ica and taxi to huacachina after previous agreeing a return with them in the price stated above. I would stay well clear of this rip off company. Terrible communication, organisation and pricing!

Is not easy to organize a group of 16 people for a buggy ride. But these guys made everything worked out great for me and my friends. And what a trip we had :) Chuti, gracias, amigo, a la proxima!

We knew before doing the buggy tour that it will be like roller coaster but it was more than that, meaning that the driver was in a rodeo with 2 wheels only sometimes. It was scary how close to have an accident we were. We stopped only 1 time to take pictures while other groups stopped more at several interesting points. Also, the tour starts at 4pm at the agency, then you have to walk to get a dunes entrance ticket, then walk again up the sandhill where there are the buggies. The tour lasts 1 hour starting from the office, so not really 1 hour. Not worth the money.

Great place with nice pool. Papas fritas at the pool are the key to happiness.

For the sporting type looking to try something a little different, the oasis resort of Huacachina on the outskirts of Ica has just the answer. This picture-perfect, palm-fringed resort town just west of Ica, and technically still part of the municipality of Ica, is situated around a lagoon surrounded by huge sand dunes, some of which reach 1,000 meters in height. While they are beautiful to see, people come here to try out the sport of sandboarding. Similar to snowboarding, sandboarding is surfing down the sand dunes on specially made sand-boards, which can be rented in the area. For the less coordinated, renting dune buggies is another great way to get out and enjoy the landscape. Ica is slightly higher than the ocean and consequently is not affected by the usual coastal mist like other towns along this stretch. The town has a year-round sunny and dry climate, making it a good place to visit at any time. Super cool lay back town with tons of good food and drinks plus the sand dunes, some of the tallest in the world is tons of fun. There are many restaurants and hotels with fantastic pools. now its a nice 3 hours ride from cusco. now i recommend using peruhop they can hook up the while trip with accommodation and activities included.
