5 pyramids started around 1100 AD (Ychma culture). The biggest one is 15 m high *132*164 m with multiple terrasses and patios connected by steps and added layers.17 hectares recovered in 2001 by the ministry of Culture and partly excavated. Cultic high places with food offerings in potteries, astronomical calendar, housing for upper classes and tombs. Some walls still have their original one color painting; the drawing of 2 birds that can be seen on signboards were a frieze discovered on top of pyramid B. A walled "highway" connecting present Chile to present Columbia was passing by the western side of pyramid A (carved spondylus shell and wood from northern regions were found too).

Amaizing place to go with family. If you like walking, that is the place. Ask for parking because some times is not available.
Worth a visit if you are in Lima Peru.

Asombroso sitio arqueológico dentro de la mancha urbana limeña. Cobro justo al acceso y facilidad para estacionar autos particulares. Lo mejor: una guía informada, educada y atenta.
