This museum Casa de la Literatura Peruana is built on a train station, and the interior design is beautiful. It's free of charge to enter this museum, there are not much event to see here, but the building itself is already a nice selfie spot. It is suggested to visit here quietly, as there are many people reading book here

The starting point for a train trip to Huancayo, Ferrocarril Central departs from here. It is also known as Estación Desamparados.
The name says "house of literature" but it's more of a museum nowadays. It's big spaces filled with art and important works. Aditional to this, it has two spaces to sit down and read. The first one is in the middle of the building where's there's a small library with desks. The second space is an open air space at the back of the building. You can read with natural light and it's next to a historial railroad where every now and then trains still pass.
Interesting, amazing cultural center
They open from Tuesday to Sunday, had amazing art expositions(that are changing from time to time) and is a quite place where you can rest, take nice photos and enjoy a good book too.
Just loved this place. What good use of the old station! It has the most beautiful stained glass roof I have seen. Lovely art work on display and just an aesthetically pleasing building
Be amazed by the literary legacy in the Casa de la Literatura (House of the Peruvian Literature)! Before 2009, this place was Lima's main train station (Estacion de Desamparados - Desamparados Train Station). It now houses a cultural center and a library.
It's nice to see the honoring of one's literary greats in a museum. The Nobel prize winner, Mario Vargas Llosa gets pride of place along with a about a dozen others. This building was originally the train station of Lima.
