Madre is ridiculously unassuming and so hilariously hip— it looks like a homeless person's camp from the outside (just rough brick and what appears to be a ruined building), but inside (sort of al fresco, sort of enclosed) is a really nice space with all the right hipster elements (i.e.g bucket lamps, empty picture frames). Their lunch specials rock. Two courses is less than ten dollars. Not much choice, but if the food is good, who cares? Will definitely return.
