I wished that I spent more time here. There is a lot to learn.

An archaeological site among the modern buildings in the city. The entrance fee is s/15 for foreign visitors. A guided tour is provided for every one. During the daytime you can climb onto the top of the pyramid however during the evening it is forbidden to go up. There is also a mini zoo and a mini botanic garden inside the site and the guide will provide you with profound explanation about local animals and plants.

A very good pre historic site for getting a glimpse of Peruvian culture. The museum offers guided tours that can be availed on the spot. There are two tours one in English and other in Spanish, both tours alternate each other, they are about 45 min long. The guide takes you through the site’s history, the human sacrifices that have taken place there, that also have live animals to show the tourists. Some life size exhibits of the Peruvian people are also on display at the site. A good introduction to Peruvian culture.

Pretty amazing ruin to see in the heart of Lima. If you are visiting, don't miss it.

The massive multilevel adobe brick pyramid lies in what is now the Miraflores neighborhood of Lima. It was originally built by people of the Lima culture (200AD - 700AD) but was used by successive cultures up to the Inca conquest. The pyramid and surrounding site were originally a ceremonial complex with plazas and ramps and stairs to platforms at different levels on the pyramid. Later use by the Wari culture (600CE - 1100CE) included using the pyramid as a cemetery with tombs excavated and built into the pyramid. The Wari also expanded the site surroundings to include living areas for a priesthood and/or administrators. Still later, the site continued to see use during the Inca Empire. Research and excavations continue. A museum and visitor facilities are on site, including a highly promoted up-scale restaurant.

Very interesting historical place. Get a guide so you get to know everything about it. I found an unofficial guide close to the entrance and bargained for the guidance price, but I didn't know that the guide is included in the price so be careful. Ended up paying 30 soles for the whole thing, however, it was 1 on 1 so I had a pleasant conversation with the guide. If you're going with kids there's a mini zoo with alpacas, guinea pigs and ducks at the back, which could be fun for them.

Amazing peruvian food with fantastic views of the Lima ruins. Stop in for drinks and a quaint atmosphere in the evening for a romantic date. The drinks are not cheap but made properly. A good serving of pisco made with delicious fruit mixtures, I highly recommend the pisco sour prepared here.

Nice dining at the historical place. The food was good. Well cooked, plated, and served. The taste was exotic. We tried dishes made of local ingredients. Quinoa cheese ball was good. I liked it. The Guinea pig appetizer was so-so. The fatty part was little too chewy for me. If you like fried fatty food you may disagree on that. The fish was nice. I thought if the fish meat was little thinner, it would have tasted better with the quinoa crust. The green bean sauce was nice but again little too blend. I think it's a good place to try out. Staffs are friendly and saw many locals. Once was probably good for us travelling people.
