Espíritu surf school is a great place for beginners to surf. I traveled to Peru from America and this school was awesome in teaching me for my first time surfing. The instructors are friendly and very helpful. If I ever go back to Peru I will definitely go to this school again!

Myself and two friends (all beginners) took a class and another friend rented a board and wetsuit at Espíritu Surf, with a Peruvian/Italian instructor with long, messy sun-bleached blonde hair. The first warning sign was when he waited for us to get in the (broken) wetsuits and started to raise the price of the lessons. The teacher did not even teach us how to pop up on the board, or teach us any safety instructions before getting in the water and made us paddle out to the green water waves, which was actually pretty scary. My friend, who had never surfed before, left the water crying and I got out the water 1h into the 2h lesson because the instructor yelled at me "do you not understand what they back of the board means?! When a wave comes go to the back of the board". He had not given any instruction about how to position yourself on the board before that moment when a wave was coming and about to crash on me. He would just yell "stand up" and we had no idea how to stand up. He was rude and terrible at explanations. When we got out the water we saw another surf school giving a lesson, which involved around 15 minutes of theory on the beach before getting in the water. I think any of the other surf schools in Miraflores would be better. When we got out the water we told the instructor we would not pay for the full 2hour lesson as we received no instruction and were only in the water for 1h. He began insulting us in Spanish, not knowing that some of us spoke Spanish. In particular he made a few sexist comments, and then yelled at us saying we just got tired and he was an excellent teacher. Locals came up and told him he put us in a dangerous position, he yelled at them too. A truly horrible experience.

私は英語もスペイン語もあまり喋れないけど、言語力が乏しい私でも楽しくレッスンしてもらえました！ 少しだけ波に乗れて嬉しかった\u200d️ 道具だったり、ウエットスーツも貸してくれるので水着一つ持ってればすぐに参加できるのも嬉しい！ 値段は相場がよく分からないけど、日本でやるよりかは安いと思います(_)
매우 친절하고 질릴때 까지 서핑 하게 해줍니다. 특히 원하는 곳에서 픽업해주고 내려줍니다. 가격도 서핑 라인에서 알아본 곳들중에 제일 저렴하고 거기 있는 아르헨티나 친구에게 페러글라이딩도 저렴한 가격으로 안내받아서 했습니다 :)
Los instructores son muy profesionales y amables! Me gustó mucho rentar de esa empresa! Me ayudaron a mejorar mi español porque son muy simpáticos y pacientes! Gracias por recibirme y disfrutar del mar conmigo!
