I bought tickets for the gold service from Chimbote to Lima. They provide blankets, food, WiFi, and movies during the trip. Although they comply with all they list in their webpage, the bus was old, the seats were worn out thus making the trip not so comfortable.

Got the sleeper "cama cama" bus from Trujillo to Lima. Our seats were in the very back, next to the food service. While the bed is much better than reclining seats, it was still a bumpy ride which made it difficult to sleep. One hard braking even sent food trays flying out of their shelves and crashing to the floor during the night. They gave a sandwich with a cup of god knows what. Took one bite and sent it back. I also had stomach problems later on and the next morning. After we arrived there was one customer complaining that his laptop was missing (yes, he should have carried it on). In the future we'll stick to another bus service that we've used. I can't recommend Via.
Personal service is very kind. Good food.
