Absolutely lovely owners who will also answer you a lot of questions around iquitos. Located in the middle of anything you're looking for. The rooms are also very spacious and comfortable with a private bathroom and a fan. There is of course WiFi. You can also get breakfast for a little extra. You'll get your soles worth. We would come back to your place!

Casa Chacruna holds a special place in my heart. This is the best "jumping-off" location for those interested in working with Ayahuasca in the Peruvian Amazon. The owner, Freddie, is a warm and lively dude. He is present and extremely well-informed to help you navigate the greater Iquitos area. His staff echoes his vibe and will take good care of you with a big smile on their faces. Other positives: You can't beat this location. Kiddie-corner from Plaza de Arms, Casa Chacruna is central to all of the gringo places of interest the town has to offer. The guests I met and made friends with were fascinating people. There's rarely a dull moment and you can bet that, whatever brings you to Iquitos, you will find others you can team up with to pursue your given interests. Cheers to everyone that made this such a lovely experience!
This was a great place to stay in Iquitos, right beside many cool areas, like plaza de armas and the malecon. The place is above street level, which is nice, and is clean inside, with a great little balcony to hang out on. Freddie, his family, and the woman working reception are all great people. I would definitely stay here again if I was back in Iquitos.
Un endroit convivial et agréable. Je me suis senti bien dans cette maison avec la proprio Gladys. Je suis arrivé à 11 pm et ils étaient dispo pour me recevoir. J'ai été traité respectueusement et on a même été avec un groupe sur une plage paradisiaque dans la jungle. I will recommend this place even if the noise of the traffic woke me up in the morning but nothing is perfect. So well done. I sending u blessing. Paz
