They have air conditioned rooms if you are looking for that. We went up the dunes and the AC made us feel much better since we are from USA. Breakfast comes with the room along with cable TV and swimming pool. There is a bar as well. We drove from Lima and they have private gated parking. I highly recommend especially with the prices and what all it comes with.

I really enjoyed my stay at Hostal Curasi! The views were beautiful, they offered free breakfast, have a great pool area, and the rooms were big & clean. Staff was friendly & helpful. We had activities planned for the day that went past our check out time, but the staff allowed us to keep our luggage and bags in locked storage. Huacachina is a unique experience I highly suggest to anyone. And, I would totally recommend staying at Hostal Curasi.
A 5 star resort in the middle of the desert. Beautiful pool, great room with a huge king size bed, clean and ready when we arrived. AC was nice to as all we had for two weeks previous were AirBnB's with no AC and few amenities.
Curasi was beautiful to look at, with a gorgeous blue pool in the middle of the courtyard. The views from our 3rd floor balcony were breathtaking and the dunes were always within sight. The concierge was very friendly and warned us about late night music noise from the surrounding area that the hotel is trying to remedy. We were so tired that the music really didn't bother us too much. The breakfast is very basic but the tea selection was good and it's included in the room cost so that's a bonus.
Curasi is a place in the dunes at the Huacachina lagoon. Surrounded by sand and lots of other hostals and people. What was once a beautiful place to relax has become the sand buggy center of Peru. If you like to do this, you are in the right place. The hotel is noce and comfotable but more expensive than it should be. There are lots of choices and if you come, walk around and choose your comfort level as there are a lot of places and vacancies.
Good value and facilities in Huacachina
This hostel may be typical for young back packers but I thought it was below any standard expectations. The room is just below basic. The pillows are huge hard lumps and the blanket and bedspread are disgusting. Maybe they have never been washed. The bathroom was decrepit and rather gross. You get 1 bath towel so I had to ask for an extra hand towel. They gave me another bath towel which was rough and I ended up using it for a bath mat since the one in the bathroom is not the washable towel kind. Many wet feet in that. Ick. The noise is so bad that you can hear water running in other rooms, dogs fighting at all hours, something like a blender that started at 6:30 AM and must have woken up the entire hotel. It gets 1 star for a nice pool and lounge chairs.
An excellent hotel with clean and nice rooms with pool views and view of the surrounding giant sand Dunes and near the oasis... I will definitely return to this hotel and area for an adventure of Dune Buggying and ParaSailing!!!
