The best surf school in Huanchaco and best classes I have ever taken. I was in Huanchaco for several months so can confidently say this. I rented different boards, took several classes, got involved with their beach clean ups and ended up buying a secondhand board before leaving. For honesty, good quality, great people and excellent value look no further. They are wonderful people too and you can find out about their work with the local community. Even if you do not surf swing by to check out their re-useable products like their shampoo bars!
Really recommend taking surf lessons here! Roxy and Mateo are super friendly, fun and knowledgeable. Wanted to take a lot more surf lessons with them but unfortunately that wasn't possible because of the lockdown. As soon as you can: Go and surf with them! And they organise beach cleanups as well and sell sustainable stuff which is super good :)
I lived in Huanchaco for just over a month last year and I am SO grateful that I stumbled upon EcoSurf! Roxy and Mateo are super friendly, caring and knowledgeable. Their boards and wetsuits are all REALLY well taken care of and I wouldn’t trust anybody other than Mateo to take me out in those waves. I know he’s got my safety as his priority every time we go out. But most importantly, these guys not only take care of their boards and the people that come in to surf them, they take care of their community. They’ve got a surf program setup for the kids in town, they give them access to boards and suits, lessons, and a sense of responsibility with the beach clean ups they organize. I felt like going here wasn’t just good for me and my progression, I felt like I was doing good for something way bigger than myself. Couldn’t be more grateful for this place! You guys ROCK!

100% recommended - best place to get surf lessons/boards. Really good surf boards with a good selection and cheap prices. The lessons were really good - very patient instructor. The owners are actively helping the local community by encouraging local kids to surf, producing eco-friendly products and, cleaning up the ocean/beach by taking away all types of rubbish.
Such an amazing experience with eco surf station! Roxy and Mateo are absolute legends. So nice and profesional. I took a surfing class with Mateo and I can't praise him more! The class was perfectly suited to my level and tailered to my needs. I wish there were more stars to give! Highly recommended.
Amazing and professional surf school with very good equipment. They combine surfing with social work and sustainability which is so inspiring! If you‘re in Huanchaco and want to learn how to surf, than Ecosurfstation is the right place for you!
