We combined a trip to Machu Picchu and Salinaras into one. Although I rated this Company as a level 5, you probably wouldn't need more that 45 minutes to one hour to tour the entire site. The drive out was beautiful with snow capped mountains in the distance and the crisp clean air. The site itself was amazing....just imagine how much work went into developing and building those walls forming the concentric circles. What were they really for? I'm not sure anyone really knows...they say for testing crops at different temperatures and altitudes. I've read where that theory has been shot down recently. Whatever they were for, it's an amazing site to visit and the private tour in Machu Picchu was amaizin....recommended!

My friend and I accidentally booked a private tour but so grateful that we did! We were picked up in Ollantaytambo by our guide and drove about an hour to the ATVS, just a small building in a small town so don't expect a business looking building. We got suited up and started to ride towards the ziplines. We stopped to take pictures along the way and saw so many animals all around. We parked the ATVS and had to ride on one to make it up top to the zipline. I was nervous at first because the guide has to go down first and then we have to hook ourselves up and go after. Super easy to do but I am a sissy! My friend made me go first and it was the most amazing feeling, being so high up and looking at the landscape. The guide is at the bottom to help you stop, we did 4 lines and the final line is the longest and so cool! You go so fast and so long, very worth it. We jumped back on the ATVS and went site seeing at the Moray ruins, the guide gave great info and took great pics! We got to walk around as long as we wanted, then went riding to a beautiful lake. We rode the ATVS for a long time exploring and going through so many towns. When finished we were driven to the Salt Mines and got to explore and do as we please. When ready we were taken back to our Airbnb and dropped off. Our guide was wonderful and very personable and we always felt safe. I would recommend the private tour so you can go at your own pace and just with your friends!
