Wasted my time to visit this consulate of Bolivia. Came here for a VISA, but staff said the system is not working, they asked me to go Puno for the VISA. I checked their website in advance and there is nothing mentioned about this. Maybe Bolivian is just work like this with no efficiency, I should not complaint too much

Hector was so kind to process our visas outside of his office hours. Thanks to him, we got our visas in minutes or else we would have missed our flight from La PaZ to Uyuni if we were to apply for visa on arrival. My second time dealing with Bolivian immigration and I must say they are one of the best!

The worst consulate I had ever seen. The consulate employee(an old man) is a rude person. He treated me in a bad manner.i asked him to explain to me what is remaining to get the visa printed on my passport but he shouted on me and said(take your passport and go out of the consulate). He forgot that the consulate wasn’t his house and he hadn’t any right to kick me out .That bad behavior happened after I paid the visa fees in the nearby bank. In the future I will not advice any person to apply for Bolivian visa from Cusco. The consulate employee reflects a bad impression of his country.

Terrible. I'm Peruvian. The operator was extremely sketchy and rude to both me and my American friend. We had to go to a nearby bank to make our deposit and he also gave him an additional 160 to deposit for another person, which was really strange since he basically sent us on an errand of his own. When he handed that cash to my friend and I asked him why, he said it was "between me and him" and wouldn't tell me. It seemed we were laundering money. He also didn't seem to be aware that my friends international card couldn't withdraw cash on that bank. We would have had to go to a very far away bank that accepted that card. Luckily I was able to pay for him. When we returned and told him that international cards don't work at that bank and that he should be aware of that he got very visibly angry and started yelling at us. He literally said that it wasn't his problem and "he didn't care if my friend got into Bolivia" Very unpleasant and would not recommend to get a Bolivian visa here. He didn't give us his name.

Straightforward, helpful, no wait for me (but just got lucky bc there was a tour group that came in right after me of about 8 people). From San Pedro market (same side of street) got on Se Cabildo bus and get off at Magesterio. Turn in all papers (from US - need photo, bank balance screenshot, hotel reservations, photo copy of passport and printed itinerary), go to bank around the corner with 160 to pay, and Hector will welcome you to Bolivia!

I’ve been to 87 countries and this Visa has been the easiest I’ve ever gotten! I showed up with the wrong paperwork and the guys helped me out. Our entire trip was focused around visiting Bolivia and we were pretty nervous about getting one at a consulate in person. Easy process and they helped us through it! Thanks guys!

You have to fill up the visa application on line first, since I did not have any information about it. I was informed by the Visa officer that I have to go to an Internet place to do the necessary on line application ang fill it up, make sure you have the computer generated assigned number before you go back to the embassy. I was there around lunch hour and the visa officer was not there, it was the Ambassador who help me out with my application. I have a great time in their beautiful country.
