Fantastic, highly professional and well organised service. I have used Amazonas Explorer for personal trips- kayaking and rafting on Laguna Huaypo and the Rio Apurimac, e-biking trips, mountain biking trips, hikes to Incan ruins. I have also used them for Activities and Social Service projects with students from the school I work at in Lima- tree planting for carbon offset, kayaking and stand up paddle-boarding activities on Laguna Piuray and Laguna Huaypo. Good quality equipment, high standard of instruction and very close attention to the safety of my students.

We just finished an excellent 4 days on the Inca Trail with Jimmy - my father (Robert Torghele) and friends had the most epic adventure! When Amazonas says they are going to do something, they do it, and deliver times 10! I am a hiking fanatic, but also a girl who enjoys the luxuries of going back home after a long day.. so I was a little nervous going on a 3 night backpacking adventure...BUT we were all mind blown by the breathtaking campsites, top notch food, and high quality gear that was always SET UP PERFECTLY awaiting our arrival. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for helping us have the most memorable vacation. I can’t wait to bring my husband and children back for another Inca Adventure! I had the pleasure of rafting the Apurimac RIver with Amazonas Explorer in August 2019. The guides were incredibly knowledgeable, safety-oriented, and I knew I was in good hands right from the start. I've traveled to Peru on multiple occasions, but this was my first taste of the Apurimac. The canyon and rapids are unlike anything I've experienced before - wild and remote!

Santiago and Neil were fantastic with my kids on the Apurimac Black Canyon rafting. There are not many people I would trust my girl’s lives with but in this case I knew I could. The boys have a lovely fun attitude but you know the are always paying attention to what is going on, and switch in a moment into fully concentrated mode effortlessly.

We spent 5 days with our guide Effie and Freddy our driver. We went to many cultural sites and hiked the last 66.6 miles of the Inca Trail. Effie has such a passion for his people and heritage. He's so knowledgeable all things in Peru. He made our time there very special. Freddy was a wonderful driver and always on time and his van always immaculate.

Had a fantastic day white-water rafting down the Chuquicahuana river. Everyone had such fun, which was great as our group ranged from 13 years old to 40. Our guide was superb and managed to be hilarious while simultaneously keeping us out of harms way! To top it all off afterwards we had a delicious lunch with the tastiest avocados I have ever had. Would thoroughly recommend.

Very professional. Did not have one bad day in the three weeks I was there. The guides were amazing and the organisation of the company was very good too. Spent a lot of time doing extreme moutain biking with Micky (the bike mechanic) and team, they took me down some trails I'll never forget.
