After 3 months in Chontachaka I give thanks to all people there. Nice place, nice vegetarian food and great reforestation and environmental work. Special place to enjoy the jungle, the animals, plants...and splendid for a spiritual retreat and experience healing with sacred plants. REALLY WORTH IT !!!!!

AMAZING TWO WEEKS Me and my boyfriend spent two weeks in this tropical Reserve. We have been really happy there and we keep in our minds and spirits the best posible memories. We recommend the spot to anyone who wants relax, disconnect from the busy world, reconnect with himself or herself and do something good for nature.
A great experience. For many reasons. The one I went there why this last June was to work for nature conservation. Me and the other people there did. We planted several new trees in the rainforest following the guidelines of the persons in charge. Also took care of other new trees planted by other visitors before us. What a nice chain work! The sorroundings are wonderful, with several natural waterfalls where you can swim. I totally reccomend the place!
Oh, just wonderful... What a peaceful and incredible days spent I there! I totally reccomend it. Because of the amazing sorroundings and the important work they carry on there for the planet. Lovely!
Before arriving the place, I was a little bit disquiet... How it would be? Once arrived, all my doubts went away. Now, reminding the experience, the only thing I could say is: totally positive. It made me to have a new understanding of nature and even of myself.
We paid for 11 days at this reserve. We realized once we arrived that instead of volunteering, we just sat around with no program structure. We were told to come back early and they would discuss a refund for our remaining 6 days. Instead when we arrived to Cusco they were no call/no show. We have not been able to contact them. Please looks for other places besides this if you are looking for a true Amazon volunteering experience.
WONDERFUL SOURRONDINGS, WORTHY WORK Nice place, nice people, valuable work to take care of nature. I had been enjoying the wonderful jungle for ten days: swimming under amazing natural waterfalls, having marvellous walkings across the forest, sleeping with the rainforest lullaby… And I planted several new trees in the forest and took care of others. I feel happy. I feel that, as long as it was posible for me, I did something good for the planet.
