Been coming here for 8 years whenever I visit my grandma and Johnny and his team are super friendly, super fun, and really great instructors! I highly recommend anyone visiting Lima to take lessons with Johnny or any of this friends -- you're going to get a killer workout, learn a lot, and just have a good time. I've brought friends which made taking lessons extra exciting! Of course, use your gut regarding the waves and your ability to swim -- if you don't feel comfortable, you should reschedule for a gentler day.
