I wish I could give this company a 0 star rating. My wife purchased some products online and we paid the seller a premium for shipping- order ended up costing 211 USD. After the order arrived, Scharff got in touch with us requiring a commercial invoice, we reached out to the seller who sent the commercial invoice to Fedex, assuming that as Fedex' representatives in Peru, Scharff would have some sort of communications channel with Fedex. After nearly two weeks, Scharff had no idea where the Commercial Invoice was and refused to get in touch with Fedex to request it. We contacted the seller and requested the invoice be sent to us directly so we could redirect it to Scharff. After this was done, Scharff hit us with a bill for over 110 USD - 50 of which were stated to be customs fees (a bit ridiculous but not Scharff's responsibility)- and over 60 USD for 'handling' and 'fees' including fees for the time the package had spent sitting in customs! Scharff charged us a nearly a full 30% of the total cost of our package just to get it from Customs to us! A package on which we had ALREADY paid FedEx for direct shipping to us! This company will do anything in its power to extort as much money as they can from you in spite of offering terrible, incompetent service. Avoid at all costs and do not use FedEx to ship anything to Peru.

The communication with Scharff Peru - operator of FedEx in Peru, is absolutely horrible and deficient. My shipment was hold up in Customs yet after it was cleared I still had to wait 11 more days before it was delivered. Eventually they delivered the goods without charging me extra for storage and handling costs, I guess to make up for the inconveniences, which is the reason I am giving them 2 stars. Either way I lost money because of lost sales. You better pay a little bit more and go with DHL, they are more reliable.

CONTACT FEDEX and file a claim against this company. I have learned that Scharff's computer system has crashed and they basically have no idea where anyone's package is. The are using excuses to stall delivery of packages and blaming it on customs. I was advised by a FedEx rep in the US that I should begin filing a claim for a lost item and I would recommend anyone reading this do the same. This company is bush league and obviously in way over their head. Horrible company! They have held my packages for 2 weeks and will not reply to emails and never answer the phone. As one user already stated avoid this business at all costs and use DHL. Any extra costs associated with using DHL will be well worth not having to deal with this company and their terrible customer service.

The worst service ever, first and last time i pay for this service. They don't update tracking, take forever to deliver a product. Don't risk it and use the DHL service.

Terrible company with horrible customer service. They do not answer the phones and do not respond to emails or messages. Do not use this company and do not use FedEx here in Peru. They have held my packages with no explanation for over 2 weeks. Save yourself the headaches and use another shipping option.

Scammers!!! Don't ship nothing wirh this company, this is not the real Fedex, they will receive your package and would try to charge you ilegal fees for a value of 30, 40 or 50 more DOLLARS and if you dont pay they will not give you your what its legally yours. Dont do business with this joke of a company!!! You would regret it as I'm doing right now.
