Vietnamese person chiming in! If you’re craving Vietnamese food in Lima, you’re going to have a hard time finding anything authentic, which is why I’m not going to be too harsh on Chifa Mundo Vietnam. That being said, the fried spring rolls here do satisfy some cravings, and the Vietnamese music and murals on the wall are also greatly appreciated! As far as the food goes though, it’s not great. All bún bowls (vermicelli/fideos arroz) are supposed to be in bowls because the ingredients all need to be mixed, so when I received mine on a plate (below) I was very confused. However, the pork bowl does come in a bowl! Secondly, the fish sauce (orange salty sauce) is so watered down with lime and water. There needs to be a 1:1 ratio of fish sauce to water with a pinch of something acidic (lime or vinegar), garlic, and some sugar (pepper optional). Third, the pork in the bún needs to be grilled or at least baked/broiled in an oven. It added such a strange flavor to the overall dish that we had a hard time finishing it. The chaufa was decent, and I’m sure the cooks/owners did their best. Just giving honest feedback about what can be improved because Vietnamese cuisine is soooo good that it should be appreciated the right way.

Food is average- have been a few times but it’s always something with the food- always too salty that you can hardly taste the food. Told them most time and doesn’t seem to be working. Unfortunate though as not many good Asian restaurants around.
