You should stay here. I stayed way longer than I should have in Arequipa because this hostel was just so chill and I kept meeting wonderful interesting people to have adventures with. Arequipa is probably my favourite city in Peru and Arequipay is a great place to explore from. Convenient but quiet location just far enough away from the centre. Great facilities and really clean - the cleaning staff are employed permanently and are always cheery and super nice. I thought I had lost my wallet in the dorm room and they went above and beyond to help search for it. The dorms are nice and there are just so many places to chill out by yourself or socialise. This is probably the most social hostel I’ve ever stayed at but it’s definitely not a party hostel. Just a good chilled out crowd and the spaces are very conducive to good conversations with strangers. The breakfast is basic but nice and always a great way to meet fellow travellers. The kitchen is good (albeit a bit small) and there are two fridges. There is usually morning yoga running every other day and the hostel hosts a nightly event every night which is usually pretty fun.

Nice relaxing hostel to chill. Good atmosphere. Good location. Friendly staff who cancelled one of our nights when we booked a 2D/1N tour. They also allowed us to use all the facilities for free until our night bus. Big lockers. Pretty chilly at night during winter. Good facilities but may be all occupied during peak times. Free breakfast even on the day you check in. Lots of common area space.
Very nice, clean, cosy hostel with a nice stuff around 15min walk from the centre in a quiet neighborhood. There are enough bathrooms. The breakfast is basic. There's a nice patio, tabletennis and a tv-room. The PlayStation unfortunately didn't work. The only complaint is the bedmatress which was a leatherette too tender mattress, where the sheet always got off it.
Great experience at Ariquipay Backpackers - I checked in and out multiple times because I did multiple overnight trips in the area (Colca Canyon, Chachani Volcano) and was a able to easily store my luggage each time. Staff was helpful, rooms were very clean, and the hostel pup was very friendly!

Very nice hostel, located in a perfect location for exploring Arequipa. Plaza de Armas and the historical old town are easily reached by foot and very nice and safe area to come home to. Staff was exceptionally nice, and very helpful and fun Breakfast included and was a nice start in the day, showers and toilets were clean and plenty. Community was really easygoing and not a noisy crowd. Would definitely recommend everyone to stay there
One of the best hostels I've stayed at. It does not look special, but everything simply works and is good. Unlimited free breakfast, hot showers, good beds. Moreover, there is a great atmosphere with all the guests which I have rarely found in other hostels. What made Arequipay really stand out though, was the super friendly staff. Definitely choose this hostel to explore the beautiful city of Arequipa!
Great hostel in a quiet neighborhood. Bathrooms are clean, breakfast very basic. Nice areas to relax or playing games. No bar, no party hostel. The tours they offer are very good! Staff is nice and helpful 24\\7. Only thing that could be improved are providing bigger lockers, so the bags don't need to lay on the floor.
