Streets are very beautiful and all of them are made out of sillar. From the central square, you can even have an amazing view of the sunset with all the buildings in the horizon. There are some restaurants and bars there, too, so it has a better vibe now. I would recommend not to stay there too late in the night, though.

San Lazaro is the oldest neighborhood in Arequipa. It is made of "sillar", it is decorated on the outside with pots of flowers, mainly geraniums. A beautiful place and a must visit. You will feel in the ancient Arequipa.

Good neighborhood to take a walk and see colonial architecture.
