The Thermal Baths of Aguas Calientes, Perú. I went here at night and there was a Lightning storm in the distance, lighting up the sky and reflecting in the water, it was amazing! A once in a lifetime experience that I will never forget. This place is unique. Check out the funny sign: "No Jugar, No nadar, No escupir, no orinar. No entrar con heridas, No entrar con Polo." Which I think translates to: "Do not play, Do not swim, Do not spit, Do not urinate. DO not enter with injuries, DO not enter with a pole (hard-on)!

Hilarious to read all the Reviews complaining about the water wuality. The muddy coloration of the water is because of the sediments, not because it’s dirty. In fact it’s actually healthy and can be used for medical purposes. It’s unfiltered, just as it comes out of the ground. After a long day of hiking there is nothing better than soaking in a nice warm pool. This is a charming, very basic hot spring bath that the locals visits. The way to the hot spring is steep (but if you came here to see Machu Picchu what were you expecting). Entrance fee is 20 Sol. On your way up you’ll pass couple of places where you can rent towels (around 3 Sol) and even a swim suit. There are changing cabins and free locker rooms. Entrance to the bath is allowed only wearing swimsuits, no street shoes allowed. There a couple of different pools with varying temperatures, from 14*C (57*F) up to 37*C (99*F). There is a bar and they will serve you drinks while you are soaking in the bath. Absolutely loved this place, charming and relaxing.
Hot springs with beautiful mountain backdrop. Come in the morning to avoid the crowds. Towels and clothes can be rented/ purchased nearby. Showers/ changing rooms available.
If you have time in the city it's worth going, but don't make the trip just for it. 20sol entrance fee. They rent towels by the baths for 7sol or you can rent before the baths for 5sol. There are changing rooms at the place and they will lock your stuff after you change. There are multiple baths with the temperature varying from 57f to 99f. The water looks dirty but it's just unfiltered natural water. This is a good way to unwind after hiking to and walking around Machu Picchu. Go and have fun.
Great place to visit, definitely worth coming again. Highly recommend if your in Aguascalientes. The water is soothing, especially after the hike in Machu Pichu. Definitely recommend you wear sunscreen, as the sun will burn you. Other than that, awesome!
Very unique experience! Pools were crowded and a little awkward feeling. The poolside drink service smoothed over most of that! We found the bathroom/changing area to feel wet and dirty and would have loved a shower area for rinsing off after that wasn’t out in the open. Lockers provided for secure storage and being able to pay for drinks at the bar upon exiting was a huge plus. All in all I would recommend if you need to kill time however, it’s not a place I would go out of the way for!
Very cool and unique experience. Amazing views. Concept is awesome. Germiphobes beware. It’s definitely worthwhile but if germs irk you, good luck. They also have a bar and serve you while you enjoy the hot springs which makes it fun.
If you're looking for a luxury spa, this ain't it. This is a municipal location, lots of locals enjoying the atmosphere of drinks, music and community. We had a great time bathing and relaxing. Price for non-locals is 20 soles.
